Celebration!

It is time to celebrate! Bob passed his exams, and I grew older. The Whole Enchilada served up some delicious food - Noah said it was his best meal ever. Quite the endorsement. Lukas said: "we must come back here." The food was good, the company great and the occasion fantastic!
The owner walked around chatting with the guest and handed Lukas and Noah these stylish glasses. We could not resist the temptation to stop at our favorite fruit stand on our way home, despite our fully bellies and a very well stocked fridge.

Sunset play

We headed up to Moss Landing to celebrate Bob's passing his written and oral exam and my birthday. A late afternoon stroll on the beach quickly turned into a game of running away from the waves... Sunny skies, wispy clouds and warm temperatures - can it get any better?

All three boys decided to pull up their shorts... even though some of them were wearing last years' which meant they were already too short..... but apparently not too short for this water game.

Demolition

Yes, the time has finally come! We are about to fix up the mini bathroom in the house. Noah and Lukas happily donned safety goggles and set out to take off the tile behind the sink. Bob had hoped this would keep them busy for a bit, so he could take a well deserved nap on his first day off, but in a few short minutes, they announced triumphantly that the task was done. Cleanup took a bit longer, but in short order the task was all done.

Spring!

Spring has sprung.. although we cannot really claim that we had any winter to speak of, so can we really make this claim? Last week, we did have a bit of rain, some gloomy days, overcast skies and cooler temperatures - so when we woke up to clear blue sky, I was easily convinced that we needed to do school outside. Noah was less enthusiastic about me stopping him in his track while doing math.... and claimed his lost his concentration when I interrupted. A few quick rounds on his bike up and down our street ad he was back at it at lightening speed and accuracy! Maybe it was the helmet?

One way.....

"Noah?" "Yes, Mamma." "Can you please take the rack of clothes to the bedrooms?" "Of course, Mamma" I never specified the manner in which the rack would get to the bedrooms... but does it really matter? As a matter of fact, I think he swept the floor as he pulled his legs on the floor - a two-for in my book!

April Fools...

So did you like our doughnut tree? The boys had a lot of fun this week, photographing the tree, cutting out the seed packages, filling them, writing letters and addressing envelopes. My only regret is that we could not package the giggles that came along with this task. Happy April Fools from all of us!

Look what we are growing!

We planted our Donut Seeds a few weeks ago and look what is 'blooming' in our yard, just in time for April 1st.
