Noah and Lukas have worked on yet another light weight radio controlled airplane. This one is built out of foam core purchased at the Dollar Store. They measured, traced, cut, shaped, fused, taped, adjusted and tinkered and the plan was finally ready for take off.
The boys invited Bob and his quadcopter to join the fun. Not to be outdone, Noah loaded up his various planes and copters, and off they went to the park.

New desk
The computer desk in the office had to go.... and after a trip to the Restore Shop we found an inexpensive replacement. Noah helped Bob put the legs back on, providing entertainment while Bob works.
Teamwork
The boys are working fervently on their various robotics projects in the basement. If ever looking for the boys, it is sure bet to find them hunched over a computer screen or delicately adjusting parts of the most recent robot construction. This was had its maiden voyage in our driveway. Noah had a tight grip on the computer, thankfully!
Chefs
Lukas and Noah fired up the grill and helped cook the meal! Step aside, Bob, the grill has been commandeered!
Too much fun for photos
We spent several days visiting friends in Maryland and had far too much fun to remember to pull out the camera. On our last morning, as we are heading back to Michigan, I cought Lukas and Noah in the breakfast area, Lukas being serious and Noah being Noah :-)
Annapolis
We headed to Maryland in late May. Although spring had sprung in Detroit, summer had arrived in Annapolis. It was hot, humid and hazy, but it did not deter us from a quick sightseeing trip around the harbor and the Academy.
We were also able to have a front row view of the Blue Angels as they practiced for a performance during the Naval Academy Graduation Ceremony.
I had promised the boys crabs, but they were gracious enough to settle for famous crab cakes as the price of fresh crabs was $90/lb!

It worked!
Despite a very brown thumb, the orchid is blooming again. Bob and the boys bought an orchid in the fall, on clearance at the local big box store. It bloomed beautifully for several weeks, and then there was the plain, stark stalk....
We put the orchid aside, neglected it, sprinkled some water now and then, and generally forgot about it. This spring, as I was cleaning out, I thought it is about time to throw this dead thing out, only to notice small green shoots. Could it be? Yes, it could! The orchid came back and is blooming. At the last count, there were 14 buds on this neglected, clearance rack orchid.
Now if this method would work on all plants, we would be living in a jungle!
