Lukas and Noah cooked a fantastic Father's Day dinner. Fresh brioche buns, Bob's tasty hamburgers, and onion rings. For dessert, Lukas made white chocolate mousse garnished with toasted coconut and fresh raspberries.
We are all so blessed to have Bob in our lives - he is the most amazing father two young men could ever ask for - and I am so thrilled to parent with my best friend.
Noah has participated on the worship team at church for the last few months. I finally became bold enough to snap one shot from far away and quickly to not disturb those who were worshiping around me.
All of his classical training is serving him well as he plays mainly from chords.
Friday evening brought us out-of-town visitors. They willingly worked for their food, and we had a fun time catching up on all the adventures and happenings since we last met. We have improved the workflow for pizza makings so that we can more easily accommodate a few guests.
Saturday evening, after dinner, we pulled out Pictionary. It is an oldie but goodie, and one we have not played for years. After a quick review of the rules, we set out to play. Bob and I "smoked" the boys - 22 years together has made us think alike. The competition was too fierce to stop to pose for pictures, but here is the evidence that we did play.
Lukas pulled out his extra-large sandwich bread pan and whipped up a loaf for lunches. Graphing our flour consumption would clearly reveal when Lukas is in town - five pounds does not go far.
It should come as no surprise that Bob, Lukas, and Noah have a summer project. They are designing and building an electric scooter. Noah is in charge of designing and materials testing. Bob took the lead on stripping paint of something picked up in bulk trash that will be part of the frame, and Lukas is providing input and assistance when he is not working.
