Fierce Competition

Where does an Arcade game belong? Well, I am not sure I would have ever answered, "the kitchen," but that is where the New Years' project seems to land when people are playing. Bob and Noah challenged each other, although I am not sure it was a fair competition given the number of hours

each person had practiced prior. Regardless, they had fun!

Another Food Hack

 Noah is thinking about his March hike, and he is reading recipes and planning. In his quest for lightweight hiking food, he stumbled upon a recipe for homemade Kind bars. He certainly nailed this one. Since his first attempt, he has made another batch - not sure if dark chocolate-cherries-cashews or coconut and almond is my favorite. On second thought, I do not need to just choose one; we have both!

It is Snowing

 The snow began to fall again, and Noah and Mama headed to the slopes. What started off as rather icy skiing turned quickly into powder as the snow kept on falling. 

Merit Badge Covid Style

 Noah attended Merit Badge Pow-wows to finish yet one more palm before he ages out. In previous years, this has been an all-day affair with some pre-and post-work. In Covid season, it is online - three Saturday mornings, from the comfort of his room. Since he has to keep his camera on, he had to wear regulation clothing, Class A uniform. 

Ticket to Ride

 On Friday evening, we played a game of Ticket to Ride. Noah lined up his train and got ready to take us out. His combined strategy of completing rides and aiming to get the longest continual run brought him the win. Clearly, carbo-loading does not slow down mental acuity. 

Wait, Is It January?

 Saturday morning greeted us with sunshine and blue sky. The temperature in Sedona was almost 70 degrees, so Bob and Noah set out for a mountain bike ride after cleaning the house. They drove to Cathedral Rock and biked all around the massive rock structure. They arrived home tired but content—a great way to spend a sunny January Saturday. 

Deep Dish

 On Friday evening, Noah and Bob made a deep-dish pizza with layers of meat and cheese. It was a resounding success, and it will now become part of the pizza rotation. The leftovers were rather extensive, meaning there was no need to cook dinner Saturday night. Ask and Noah may share his secret pizza dough recipes - he has a few...
