Family Time

 It has been a long time since the entire family was gathered in one place. We enjoyed leisurely morning coffee times on the back patio and tasty breakfast meals cooked up by Lukas and Noah. While chatting, some assisted with last-minute details for the rehearsal dinner. Bob and I enjoyed a beach walk while the boys completed school work before it was time to clean up for the festivities. 

On the Road Again

The day has finally come, the wedding that was to be last year is going to occur, and we are fortunate to be included in the festivities. Bob and I flew out of Flagstaff, met the boys in Phoenix, and then it was off to Santa Cruz. 

Baking

 With the master bakers gone, Bob and I spent Friday evening baking sugar cookies for a baby shower. In addition, we mixed up a batch of peaches and cream muffins, scones, and a few quiches. It is a joy to be able to celebrate a new baby and his Mama. 

First Day of School

Technically, it is not the first day of school but the first day of work for the academic year 2021-2022. However, Bob was a good sport and posed for a picture as there are no photos of Lukas' and Noah's first day. 

The High Desert is Blooming

 The monsoon season has dumped record rain on Flagstaff. We are fortunate to live on the west side of town and have not experienced the flooding and mud run-offs. Instead, we are enjoying the high desert in bloom on walks and through the windows. 

An Extra Stop

 It became an early morning departure on move-in day as we needed to make a stop to outfit Noah for the upcoming wedding. With the help of a knowledgeable salesperson, Noah selected and had fitted a nice navy suit. To what occasions will Noah wear this in the next few years?
