Second Christmas
We opted to leave our Christmas gifts for each other here at the house while traveling to celebrate Christmas with family. The suitcases were already bulging with 'just in case it snows' clothes and gifts for families, leaving no room for extra things, besides gifts do not gain frequent flyer miles nor do they get better with travel.
The boys wanted us to have Christmas as soon as we got home, but it took us a few days to get everything together; all of us had to retire to different areas of the house to wrap! Christmas gifts ought to be under the tree so we used our little Folk Art Wood Tree on top of the gifts, hung the stockings on the mantel, played Christmas music and ate sushi and buffalo wings. Yes, the food was not traditional, but everything else was just like it 'ought' to be.
Lukas was most anxious to present Lucky with her gift, a specially decorated dog bone from the fancy dog boutique in Carmel.
It is such a joy to experience Christmas through the eyes of innocent children, we feel double blessed this year having had two Christmas'
