Cannot resist the sun, sand and surf calling us....
Friday morning the sun was shining and the beach was beckoning us after violin. Since Noah's violin lesson is in Carmel we were already there, and the beach and the water was simply too inviting to ignore. We opted for an hour of play in the sun before lunch. I got a chance to visit with a friend while the children set out to first dig and then build on the beach. The result was this large tepee structure that they fashioned out of wood, and other materials found on the beach. No less than three different groups of adults came up to admire the handiwork, and Noah was not all too happy when it was time to leave. There was still more to be done on the tepee and seriously did we really have to go home and do such a mundane chore as eating lunch...
