One way to spice up a regular, ordinary Wednesday is to eat dinner on the beach. Courtesy of dear friends at church, this option was made available to us to shake up a routine week. Although we do this from time to time, it was so nice to 'just show up' not having to haul wood, fire starter, food, drinks, chairs, sticks marshmallows, cups, trash bags.... I brought chips and salsa in a bag, the boys brought shovels, one trip down the stairs to Carmel Beach and we were ready to enjoy the gorgeous sunset, the soft sand and friends.
