Learning from the masters

As we study art, I am struck by how many of the famous artists, those whose paintings hang on the major art museums around the world, spent time copying and studying the masters of the time. Trying to replicate a master piece requires careful study and experimentation, and it is fun to see the final product. Lukas and Noah spent a morning copying famous Monet paintings.... in their school uniform de jour, pjs. :-) Noah then pulled out his oils to do yet another one, pretty soon our fridge is full of reproduction Monets.
