Birds and Flowers

One morning, we visited the Bird Park and the Flower Market. Locals bring their birds to the park so that the birds can be in the open air, for enjoyments of park visitors, and fellowship for the bird owners who settled in on the benches for a chat. Not surprisingly, the area attracted vendors of all sorts of bird supplies and even birds.

The flower market was a combination of wholesale and retail sales. Boxes upon boxes of gorgeous flowers were stacked up on the sidewalk where vendors were rapidly unpacking and inspecting their shipments. I am not sure we have ever seen so many orchids in one place. Only the minuscule size of our room and our time in Hong Kong coming to an end shortly stopped me from buying something. We enjoyed the scents and the sights and took lots of photos.

Lots of Christmas trees for sale - where is there space in the tiny apartments for such a decoration?
