Ferry Travel and History Lesson
The next morning, we hit the ground running as we explored this exciting city. Bob had carefully mapped out the route and the points of interests to make sure we don't miss 'anything.' The first stop was the ferry over to the Hong Kong Island side and the Maritime Museum. Riding the boat across allowed us an up and close view of the skyline. On our way to the ferry terminal, we stopped not only to look at the skyline but also to admire the clock tower that marks the end of the Orient Express train line (when it was running). We practiced our selfie-taking skills, and we clearly need more, if only we had not left the selfie-stick in the room.
The museum gave us an excellent overview of the history of Hong Kong and its significance in Asia.
