Local Markets

We explored the local markets in Singapore - full of people, sounds, smells, and sights. We browsed the Indian market, a Chinese market, and the  Arab market - each with a unique feel and offerings. We noted the greater diversity in the people we met and how courteous most people were. It was not uncommon for someone to stop and ask if we needed help while we were studying our maps and there was none of the pushings and shovings that we encountered earlier in our trip. Most of what we bought was fresh fruit and local snacks - the souvenirs looked suspiciously similar to the ones we had encountered in China - and sure enough most sported a "made in China" sticker.

We saw these Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice dispenser all over town - but we never saw anyone refilling one with oranges
