And We are Off

And we are off on the July epic cross country journey. The first day, we left early, and the car packed to the max. The goal was Oklahoma so that our July 4th travel would be shorter and we could enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Carl Junction. We stopped at our favorite Mexican place in Amarillo, but rather than eating the food in our hotel room, we had dinner in the car and continued. It was later than we thought when we pulled in to the hotel - the time zone change made us lose an hour.
