21 Years!

On Friday, we celebrated 21 years of marriage. In some ways it seems like just yesterday that we donned our finest and took our vows in front of family, friends, and God, in other ways it seems like so long ago. We have lived a full life so far, traveled lots, moved even more, made great friends, said hello and goodbyes to friends, churches, and communities, and watched two beautiful children grow up to be fantastic almost adults.

Since Arizona was under a curfew, we opted for a lunch celebration. Bob challenged us to spend exactly $21 at Sprouts for our picnic lunch, the final bill was $21.05 and would have been $21 if we  had brought our own bag :-) We drove up towards the observatory and plopped down a soft blanket on a flat spot overlooking the city.

In the evening, the boys made us dinner, while we sat outside nibbling on cheese and crackers and sipping sparkling wine. It was a fantastic dinner of Indian chicken curry and naan - Lukas made a bunch of gluten free naan - and for dessert homemade semifreddo, served with mint leaves from the garden.

We are truly blessed!
