California Bound

We combined business with pleasure! The California house needed some attention and it was a great reason to get out of town for a few days. One long day in the car ended in Paso Robles and a leisurely evening of wine tasting at the one winery open for tasting. We then headed up the coast to Monterey for a few days of work. Bob and the boys dismantled the tree house that had provided hours of fun for Lukas and Noah, but has now outlived its functionality. Also coming down was the tree that it was in, no more holly berries mixed into the stones in the backyard, and a brand new view from the back room windows!
Three solid days later and the tree was gone, the tree house no more, and the yard had a new look. Lots of hard work, hours of climbing and clinging to tree trunks, and even more hours chopping up and stacking the wood. A few pieces made its way into the car, maybe for a wood project?
