A friend is expecting a second child, and that is worth celebrating. Since she is a big Star Wars fan, the theme was given. It was fun to search the internet for ideas, and the week before, Christina spent evening hours relabeling water bottles, stitching appliques to onesies, and making napkin lightsabers. Since we live in a pandemic, it was an outside event. Our northern exposure backyard had not given up its snow accumulation in time for the party. Therefore, Noah declared the backyard "The Ice Planet," which required additional decorations, which he happily set out to create. A trip to the store, and many hours later, we had a large and theme-appropriate centerpiece for the sprinkle.
The event was fun. The fire pit added atmosphere. The hot cocoa and chili kept our bodies warm. The fellowship filled our hearts and soul.
