Tree house

Ever since we moved in to our house, Lukas and Noah have talked about the tree house. There were many plans drawn up, ideas tossed around, more plans and finally the plans were approved by Dad. Trips, trips, trips to Home Depot, hours of preparing, digging, planning and more digging and the tree house had a floor, more trips to Home Depot, more planning, revising of plans, more materials and the tree house had walls and even windows, the only thing missing was the roof.
The work has been slow, with some standstills due to lack of funding or lack of supervisory time, ie Dad. So before Bob left, he and the boys determined that the tree house needed a roof, no matter what.
Sawing, re-drawing of plans, more sawing, more revisions and more hours than anyone could have anticipated and the tree house is finally a house - floor, walls, windows and roof.
Lukas and Noah have learned many valuable lessons through the process, lessons we hope they will take with them and remember for life - projects take longer and cost more than anticipated, so be prepared, be patient and persevere
Now it is time for a house, I mean tree house, warming party!
