Water

No matter where one lives in Michigan, one is never more than 6 miles from water. Moving from California and the proximity to the Pacific, we are grateful for all this water. We stopped and marveled at the shore line of Lake Michigan and then headed north to the 'most beautiful spot in America'  as Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore is dubbed. We hiked a bit to get to know the area and thoroughly enjoyed the warm sand on our feet.
