Barb brought out her new Iphone and the boys had a good time showing her how to text and call. The three of them were sitting at the dining room table, which is a whole 5 feet from the kitchen, where I was preparing dinner. As my hands were deep into the bread dough, I hear: "Christina, I sent you a text, did you get it?" My phone, probably in my purse, in the office, was much further away than the giggling duo... who could very simply have told me what they desired to communicate with me.
I have now effectively busted the myth that only the young ones are burying their heads in their devices and have given up in person conversations :-)
In reality we are extremely proud of Grammy who is not afraid to embrace new technology, she busts another myth: that learning stops as we get older - not Barb!
