Good Bye China, Hello Hong Kong

Having checked off electronics shopping off the wish list, we left China and headed to Hong Kong. During December, we will be exploring parts of southeast Asia using various modes of transportation. From Shenzhen to Hong Kong we took the high-speed train. It took longer to get through checurity, which was as strict an airport security, which meant we had to leave behind a few sharp tools, that it took to travel to Kowloon. Lukas and Noah were grateful that the inspection staff were not familiar with Letterman knives and thought its only use was as a pair of pliers.  We will not soon forget our conversations using Google translate, as the staff and we attempted to communicate what types of items we had that could not be brought on the train.  The trip was just over 10 minutes long.
Using the Metro maps, Bob navigated us to our hotel, one of the tiniest rooms we have ever stayed in, although the cost per square foot made it one of the more expensive ones. Lukas noted that he was glad he sleeps on his side.
The hotel took advantage of all available space and each day we saw the laundry hanging up in the hallway drying. The locals are masters of efficient space use.
