Hawker Stalls
Street food in Singapore is excellent, so we ate most of our meals at one of the many hawker halls in the city. First, we could not understand why elderly ladies walked around the tables selling tissue packs. A steady source of income as the vendors did not offer napkins and often did not even offer utensils unless one asked. Many locals eat the food with their hands. Each hawker hall had a row of sinks for people to clean up before and after the meal. The food did not disappoint, and our China habit of always carrying tissues provided instant napkins.
