Helping Out

A friend asked us to make face masks for a hospital located on the Reservation. After a trip to JoAnn's and some internet research for a good pattern, we set up production. Friends were cutting, and the Severinghaus family was assembling. Noah and Bob had fun cutting the ribbon - a substitute for elastic which there is none available in town.

When another friend asked for headbands, we added that to the production line. Lukas is a master at sewing buttons on the machine and both he and Noah quickly sew together a mask - two different patterns to help remember which is the clean side.

It is a small thing in the midst of so many big needs but one we can do safely from our home and it is a good break from school work and computer meetings.
