Visiting Family

We took advantage of being 'so close by' and stopped overnight in Des Moines to see Joel and Bev, the new bathroom, enjoy a tasty meal at their favorite Vietnamese restaurant, and cooling off with home made shaved ice on the patio. Altogether a lovely visit.

Fortunately, we had very loosely structured plans, as one misstep rendered Bob incapable of any major hikes or walks. Rather than exploring Kansas City, we headed straight to Barb. Bob was able to rest his ankle and we enjoyed good times with Lisa and Barb.
