While
making a salad for dinner tonight, Bob
remarked that the olive brine was ice cold.
Well, that is generally not sufficient
for our curious crowd, so out came the thermometer.
Noah carefully measured, and he carefully
held the bowl to not affect the temperature with his hands. The verdict, about
6 degrees Centigrade, 42 Fahrenheit. Not precisely ice but undoubtedly cold.

Super Bowl Sunday
Even though we do not have a TV per se, we were able to stream the game in the comfort of our Internet Cafe, which is conveniently located right next to the kitchen. The dips and the ribs kept us coming back for more. We enjoyed the commercials, and the game kept our interest. A fun way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
And They are Off
Lukas and Noah headed to Williams this past weekend. They along with fellow OA Scouts manned a regional scout camp. Our boys were staffing the shooting range and therefore had to try it out, and when the weekend was over, they had to finish off the rounds left over. Now to settle the score of who is the best target shooter....
Breadmaking
Lukas tried out a new sourdough recipe, and it was a huge hit in our home. I think I even heard Bob say "the best one ever."
Sunrises are Not too Shabby
I
can see the sunrise through our living room windows, although I can see the
even better display as I look out over 'our mountain' on which the sun reflects
its light. No two mornings are the same -
it is a new, one of a kind show each morning. It makes me think of Lamentations
3:22-23
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
Cannot Get Enough of Our Sunsets
The sunsets are indeed one of a kind, unique art canvases almost every night. It is a good thing that I am usually home preparing dinner, or my hard drive would be maxed out with sunset pictures. This past weekend, I was driving home as the sun set and could not help but stop and take a few.
