Off They Go

It is a new month, which means Boy Scout Camping. The boys and Bob headed out to the Jamboree Scout Troop camping weekend. Since Lukas is the Senior Patrol Leader, they had to be there bright and early and ready to receive the troop, so wake up was 5 am Saturday morning. It is a miracle there are any pictures of the departure, this was pre-coffee.

Happy Birthday, Noah!

It is hard to believe that our youngest son is turning 14, yet a quick check on the calendar and yes it is indeed true. He had fun opening gifts and laughing at cards, he enjoyed tasty treats for breakfast and lunch, and he dined on sushi before heading off to youth group where everyone helped him celebrate with cake and ice cream.

The following day, he continued his celebration with two good friends, Sam and Harper, and his brother and father. They assisted in a Scouting project, lunched on gigantic burgers, and ran off some of the calories at Laser Tag.

Grammy brought along a very nice puzzle as a gift when she came to visit. Noah, with a little help from Mama, finished it in a few short days. It was a fun puzzle with lots of interesting details.

Car Maintenance?

Noah and Bob changed the windshield wiper blades in the church parking lot. No it was not raining, no the windshield wipers were not needed, and no there was no rain in sight. Yet, it needed to be done and why delay?

Weekend Fun

Lukas took advantage of the fact that most of his school work for the semester is complete and spent Saturday constructing a new airplane. "The glue needed to dry, so I had five minutes to eat dinner, Mom."

What is the Difference between a Pig and a Peccary?

As the afternoon lingered on, the conversation turned to peccaries and how are they the same or different than pigs. Noah's animal books came to the rescue in a much more satisfactory way than Google :-)

Easter Sunday

We had a lovely Easter dinner celebration - Barb in town, and Bob home. The baskets were brimming with goodies which we enjoyed after a wonderful family dinner. It is good to celebrate with family!
