Preparing to go camping

On Satuday we headed out to Big Sur for a one night camping adventure. The boys were up at the first ray of sun light, so excited were they to finally be able to camp again. In this last year, there just has not been any time for camping... and maybe the parents were a bit tired of the roughing it for so long on the road, while renovating that the thought of camping just did not occur.
Bob entertained Lukas and Noah with his water jug filling method in the kitchen; how to fill a water jug for camping was not one of the selection criteria for the faucet, but it sure seems to work well.
Noah quickly realized that a 5 gallon water tank is not as light as it looks. Wanting to be helpful he grabbed the skateboard and wheeled the water to the car.
Lucky took up her second most favorite position - right outside the door of the car - as soon as the packing began. She was determined not to be left behind.
Although we were only to be gone for one night, when the car was loaded it did not look too different from when we left Ridgecrest two years ago, preparing to be on the road for a much longer period of time and having included 8 weeks of school materials along with snow gear and winter paraphernalia....
Who says camping is easy?
