Leaving on a jet plane

The first Sunday in 2013 found the Severinghaus' family up extra-ordinarily early (at least for us) and heading to the airport. Bob was invited to present a paper at a conference in Hawaii and the rest of us offered to tag along to keep him company and carry his bags.
Heading to Hawaii is one way to short cut the adjustment from having a house full of family for several weeks.
Although we were all heading to Maui, some of us flew direct, and therefore landed early enough to explore the Road to Hana before picking up Bob and his bags.

The Road to Hana was lush, green, tropical and the views magnificent. Since I was driving, the camera responsibilities were shouldered by Noah who did a great job capturing what we saw.
