Failure

Science is fun! It is more fun when the experiment works and what is suppose to happen actually happens. Most of the time, the type of science we do is pretty basic and the outcome is predictable - however, chemistry is turning out to be a bit less predictable, and a bit more prone to unusual outcomes. No matter how careful we were in the preparations, how exact the measurements and the tedious attention to detail paid in the execution - Friday's experiment did not work.
Yes, we did make ammonia and Noah is really sure he dislikes it - "not a nice scent,  Mamma" And we did get some sort of reaction when we mixed the two liquids, but not the one described in the manual.
Maybe it was the hippy look that Noah donned, tossing conventions to the wind and just living - hanging loose... just not sure what it was but for sure the experiment was a failure.
There is learning in that as well, thankfully.
