Robo Raiders

Noah and two of his friends participated in the Robofest Challenge this spring. Bob coached these three boys, who spent Saturdays in our basement, programming, testing and munching candy. The culmination of their effort was a local exhibition competition.
The boys pulled together to solve the last 'unknown' provided at the competition. They had two chances to show off what they had done. All of us parents sat nervously on the sidelines while they executed their first round.  Since they were last in the first round, they were first in the second round. Although this was a competition, Noah and his team happily shared their extra batteries with another team so that that team could continue. Us parents were overjoyed to see them exhibit such good sportsmanship.
At the end, after much waiting, sitting around, munching more candy, waiting some more, it was finally time to announce the winners. First runner up is called and come forth for recognition. First prize goes to Robo Raiders - yes Noah and his team took first place. All three boys were stunned, excited, ecstatic, their strategies and hard work paid off.
