It is Cold Outside

Fall is here, and that means lower temperatures. Although the car windows are covered in frost in the morning, the afternoon sun warms up the air so that shorts are plenty for the walk to the mailbox.

These chilly mornings are allowing us the opportunity to try out our wood burning stove. The boys worked together to light a lovely fire that burned bright and warm for hours.  Sitting on the couch, under blankets, we enjoyed the fire, and it did not take long before we had to shed the blankets. This wood burning stove is surprisingly efficient and effective. I see lots of fires in our future and with that a lower heating bill this winter. A win-win situation.

Noah and Lukas are also happy to put their blacksmith artifacts to good use.
