Spring is Not Here!

Well, the signs of springs that we observed around town turned out to be teasers, not the real thing. We woke up to snow on Tuesday morning! Fortunately, our plan for the day was to drive to Phoenix, where it was nice and warm; perfect weather for an early birthday celebration with lunch and Rita's Water Ice.

Spring is Here

The trees are blooming! I guess that means it is spring!

Another Last

High school graduation is on the horizon, school is winding down, and activities are ending. This past weekend, Noah attended his last Boy Scout Campout. It was a shooting camp, and he came home with accomplishments in target shooting. The sunrise at 5:30 am makes for a long day.  Since it was his last campout, he milked it for all it was worth and arrived back home dirty and tired - he slept almost 20 hours straight!

Preparing for Graduation

Although, 2021 is different than 2020, there are still many traditions around graduation that we will need to forgo. However, one that we can embrace is sending out announcements. Bob and I are both so proud of all the hard work that Noah has accomplished so far in his education. We are excited about what is next for him as he heads to Arizona State University in the fall.

Meanwhile, I had to almost bribe this young man to don his cap and gown and head out for a few photos. I have a lot of outtakes but for the announcement, one only needs one good photo, which I managed to get. And, we had fun.

Shirt and tie... polka dot socks and dirty sneakers...

Where is Noah?

I guess he is done!

Creating a New Tradition

Pizza has long been our Friday night tradition. The last couple of weeks, Bob has been making hamburgers on Sunday evenings. Is

this a start of a new tradition?

Skiing

Although the nights are still cold, the days are warm, which means the snow is melting fast on the top of the mountain. Noah and I took advantage of one more chance on the slopes. It was so warm that Noah left his jacket in the car and skied in a t-shirt, a first!

A New Cube

"The Easter Bunny" brought Noah a new Rubiks Cube, which kept him flummoxed for a few days. He carefully studied, pondered, and recorded his moves until he undercovered the solution. Sigh of relief, order is restored.

While twisting the cube, he listened to a lecture on Macbeth - that's multitasking at its best.
